Royal families to Government!

Leaders of anything armies, royalty, government have to be tough and thick skinned? We see this in the Kingship of the shepherd boy David and his predecessor the handsome Saul, who was both mad and unstable! Alef Shamu’EL 1:18.

Every leader in the Complete Tanakh from Moshe had around them appointed officials, we term them Prophets, recorders or Chroniclers and Priests. Each one had a role of advice to play in the outworking of that leadership, and we see this coming into real play when Jethro advised Moshe to spread out the responsibility!

Exodus 18:14-27,  2 Chronicles 29:25,  Jeremiah 26:5-16.

Even Yeshua had His twelve core Talmid’im, while He sent out the seventy across Y’srael. No leadership can be a one person show, there has to be a administration and also challenges to that leadership as the Prophet Nat’an was sent back by Elohim to point out King David’s sin with a married woman!

Angels proclaim to the Shepherds!

The Heavenly host announced to the shepherds that the Lamb of Elohim, King of Y’srael, Messiah and Saviour of Ha ‘Olam was born in Beit Lechem. These men were trembling with fear in seeing this marvelous sight, but they obeyed and went to see the descendant of King Dav’id, who also started out as a sheperd boy.  Luke 2:8-20, 15-20.

The season of Chanukka/Christmas comes and goes and for many it is another rule or ritual to be kept in the traditions of religion, both fot Ha ‘Yehudim and Ha ‘Goyim without recognising the importance of the miraculous birth of Messiah?

Yeshua came into this world to set all free from Ha ‘Torah and the deceptions of Satan. He took our sins upon His body at the tree of curing! It is easy to think that our self, our good works is enough? But we have to follow the rules of Elohim to have faith in Yeshua and follow His example letting the past go!

Ha ‘Torah Permits.

Yeshua showed up the religious men of His day as to their twisting of legal matters over the Shabbat, sadly not much has changed withe excuses over changing the distance one can travel between home and the Synangouge?

The Talmidim ate on that most Holy day, just as King David and provision had been made in the Law for the Priests and many others to work on this day. In fact many people have to work on the sabbath in hospitals, police, security forces, power distribution and the military!

Matthew/Levi 12:1-2, 8, Numbers 28:9-10, Deuteronomy 23:25, Nehemiah 13:17, Mark 2:23-28, 1 Shamu ‘EL 21:3-6.

Under Attack.

Its one thing to be Jewish and be attacked over policy in Israel, but it is another to be a beliver in Yeshau and take it from both sides. The Complete Tanakh shows us that King Da’vid was a man on the run from his own people and also living in fear of the Goyim at the same times.

He was wise in that he trusted in Elohim all the time and this trust and faith has not changed, even today. We must press on trusting and seeking Yeshua becuase he fulfills all His promises to us. When we have Him, we need not fear man, because if we die we go to be with Messiah.

God Like Music.

Do you ever wonder how some ‘Christians have got themselves today in a twix about having music in the ‘Church, when it was fine in those ancient days of Ysra’el both with the Tabernacle and the Temple.

Here we see Natan joined by Gad to help King David sort out the instruments for the Tabernacle.

First child dies.

Natan told King Dav’id that this first chile of sin was going to die, but despite this revelation of Elohim Dav’id continues to intercede and plea with Ha’Adon for this not to happen. This is the natural side of the human psyche, we want and hope that certain things it will not happen.

It must of been a really terrible time for Bat-Sheva and we see that this is taken into account by the Prophet Nata. Because years later he helps her to make sure that Solomon becomes King of Ysra’el in the will and plans of Elohim.

Dav’id and Shlomo.

Natan was the Prophet who recorded the history of Ysra’el during the reign of King Dav’id and his son Shlomo. The writing down of the scriptures that make up the Tanakh was no easy task and during the reign of two great biblical figures we will see it was hard going for him.

Natan saw Dav’id as a great leader of men and of Ysra’el and in his nature he would have sought to bless him and this is perhaps are warning to us not to be to presumptious in our actions.
